General Policies

CHOOSING A CLASS:

The age recommendations outlined for Kindermusik classes have been carefully constructed to best group children in an age and developmentally appropriate way.  Therefore, it is important that your child be at least the minimum age by the start of the semester for the class in which you are enrolling.  If you have concens about your child's success in a particular age range, feel free to contact me.

REGISTER EARLY:

Although you may join our class at any time, please register early since class sizes are limited and many fill quickly.  If you enroll after the semester begins, tuition can be prorated accordingly.

ENROLLMENT CONFIRMATION:

A registration form and fee must be received before enrollment can be confirmed.  One week prior to the beginning of class you will receive a mailed notice with class details.

SIBLING DISCOUNTS:

Available.

NON-ENROLLED SIBLINGS:

Due to limited class sizes and the delicacy of the younger class settings, classes can only accommodate non-enrolled siblings when the sibling is young enough to remain in a car carrier or stroller.  Emergency exceptions are considered.  We want your Kindermusik class to be a special time of interaction for you and the child you have enrolled.  All siblings are welcomed for the last 10-15 minutes of the Imagine That class.

MAKE-UP CLASSES:

Classes will be made up in the event of teacher illness or inclement weather.  We will follow the McMinn County School System's closings for holidays and inclement weather.  I will notify you of the cancellation and the scheduled make-up date by email.  (please make sure I have your email)  Children who miss a class are welcomed to make that lesson up at another time.  Please call in advance to set up the make-up lesson.  Make-ups are available only during the current semester and may not be carried over into future semesters.

REFUNDS:

Registration deposits are non-refundable.  However, credit vouchers may be given if there are extenuating circumstances requiring withdrawal from class.  All refund requests will be considered on an individual basis.

FREE DEMONSTRATION CLASSES: 

Free demonstration classes will be offered throughout the semester and E.G. Fisher Pulic Library.  Dates and times will be posted at the library as well as on my website.  Just click on Events on the home page. 

MAKING THE MOST OF KINDERMUSIK CLASSES:

  • You, the parent, are the best teacher.  Please participate!
  • Please remove your shoes and your child's shoes for class and place them in the designated area.
  • Take time to meet & visit with friends before and after class.  Please keep conversations to a minimum during class.
  • Please help us minimize distractions by turning off your cell phones.  If you need to keep one on for possible childcare emergencies, please do so, but be prepared to leave the room with your child in order to take any incoming calls.
  • It's OK if your child does not stay right by your side during class, however, follow your child.  Encourage him/her to return to his place.
  • Please keep children away from cabinets, CD table, stage, etc. to avoid accidents.  Also, do not allow your child to run in class.
  • If your child becomes upset, please step into a room provided and take a moment to regroup.  This is difficult to do in a room as busy as ours will be!
  • Please do not bring anything to class - no books, toys, bottles, food, etc. 
  • A room will be provided for those unexpected (or expected) diaper changes and also if you need privacy for nursing.
  • Repetition is necessary & important in a child's development.  Listen to your CDs at home or in the car to increase familiarity and class participation.
  • PLEASE do not bring child to class sick.

Refund Policy

Our studio offers the following refund policies. Only one policy will apply to the class your child is registered for. The class description and the registration process will identify the exact refund policy for the class you have chosen.

Deposits are non-refundable.  However, if there are extenuating circumstances requiring withdrawal from class, credit vouchers are available.

Privacy Policy

We promise to respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent, loan or transfer any personal information regarding our customers or their children to any third parties. Any information you provide about yourself or your children is held with the utmost care and security and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.

Information gathered on our web site is collected and used by us and SimplySignup. We will not collect any personal information about adults or children except when specifically and knowingly provided by them. If we collect any personally identifiable information about children, we will first obtain their parents' consent. Examples of personally identifiable information include full name and birth date.

Use of Information

Information collected by us is used internally by our authorized individuals for three main purposes. First, we may collect information for improving our site by seeing which areas, features, and products are most popular. Second, we may collect information in order to personalize the site for our customers. Third, we may collect personal information from visitors who request additional information about our studio, a Free Preview Class Coupon, or who choose to register for classes online.

We hope that you will want to provide information about yourself, because it will make your experience here more valuable to you. If you are comfortable sharing some basic information, you will receive enhanced services that are impossible to offer to anonymous users. Examples of such services may include email notices of special and discounted items, e-newsletters, and special mailings related only to this studio. In addition, you may choose to receive occasional emails from Kindermusik with Ms. Angie and SimplySignup, including free developmental activities and special offers.

On occasion, we may also share non-personal, summary information regarding our customers with unrelated third parties (for example, we may publicly disclose the aggregate number of registered users of our web site). However, we will not share any personal information about any particular customer.

Security

Registering for class online is a completely safe experience!

We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)--the highest standard in online encryption technology--to ensure that your personal and credit card information remains secure. SSL encryption allows you to register with confidence, knowing that only you and Kindermusik with Ms. Angie have the ability to access your information.

Keeping customer information private and secure is a top priority.

Whenever you access a secure page on our site, the information you send is immediately encrypted for your protection. There are two simple ways to see if you are on a secure page:

  • Look at the URL (website address) in your browser. If you are connected to a secure server, the URL will always begin with "https" rather than "http."
